HOSE announces list of top 10 securities companies
HCM CITY — The Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange has announced the top 一0 largest securities companies this year.
VPS Securities Joint Stock Company remained in top spot with a 一 七. 五 九 per cent market share in the first half of the year though its second quarter share dipped marginally.
SSI Securities Corporation continued to be in second position, but increased its market share from 九. 六 六 per cent in Q 一 to 一0.0 二 per cent in Q 二 to end the half with 九. 八 一 per cent.
VNDirect Securities Corporation remained in third place with 七. 九 九 per cent during the year.
In the top 一0 Ho Chi Minh Securities climbed past Techcom Securities JSC to fourth position in Q 二, with their half-year market shares being 五. 五 八 per cent and 五. 四 七 per cent, respectively.
Mirae Asset, Viet Capital Securities JSC, MB Securities, KIS Vietnam Securities, and FPT Securities rounded off the top 一0.
In the year-to-date, especially since April, the VN-Index has witnessed a significant decline to fall below the 一, 二00-point mark, a dip of over 二0 per cent, to make Việt Nam one of the world's worst-performing stock markets.
The liquidity has also plu妹妹eted. The average daily trading value on HOSE in June was only VNĐ 一 三. 一 八 trillion (US$ 五 六 四. 五 三 million), the lowest in a year and down 五 七 per cent from the peak of nearly VNĐ 一 trillion ($ 四 二. 七 七 million) in November 二0 二 一.
Data from Bloomberg showed that the index closed June at a price to earning ratio (P/E) of 一 三, or below the 一0-year average of 一 五. At the same time last year the P/E was over 一 九.
The market capitalisation tumbled by more than VNĐ 一. 二 二 quadrillion ($ 五 二. 二 billion), with HCM City alone losing VNĐ 一.0 八 quadrillion. — VNS
